Monsoons are on their way. After the rains yesterday, I felt a big spike in the humidity.  Summer is definitely on the way.

I do not really like summers here, but that does mean I can eat ice cream as an excuse to cool off.

梅雨が来たな。昨日の雨の後、湿度が急激に上がったように感じました。夏は確実に近づいています。

日本の夏はあまり好きではありませんが、涼むないとダメを口実にアイスクリームを食べることはできます。

I always wondered when and where ice cream was invented.  places that have frozen areas during the summer tend not to have a desire to eat cold treats.  While places that you would want to eat frozen snacks tend not to have any access to ice.

Guess I need to do some research.

アイスクリームがいつ、どこで発明されたのか、いつも疑問に思っていました。夏に冷たい地域がある場所では、冷たいお菓子を食べたくないでしょうね。冷凍スナックを食べたい地域では、簡単に氷が手に入らないよね。

もう少し調査する必要があると思います。
